Acting 101 (Saturdays, Feb 15 - Mar 22)
This introductory acting class is designed for individuals eager to explore the world of performance and for beginner actors to build a strong foundation in acting. We provide a safe space for actors to build confidence, develop a basic understanding of acting, and most important – experiment. This six-week class will consist of various exercises to aid the actor in understanding their vocal power; physicality; improvisation; scene analysis, and characterization, in addition to learning basic expectations and terminology used in the acting field.
By the end of the class, participants will have an understanding of the craft, improved stage presence, and the tools needed to pursue further study in acting. As their first step in performance as an actor, graduates of the class will have a chance to perform a rehearsed monologue before a live audience.
PRE-REQ: NONE! No experience required. We’ll teach you all of that! Ages 18+. Not in High School.
